How About We Stop Making These Announcements?

The dow today dropped over 220 points following the Labor Departments’ uplifting news that the economy lost 467,000 jobs in June and that the unemployment rate rose to 9.5 percent, the highest it has been since August, 1983.

If consumer confidence is what we are trying to instill, then how about we shut the f*ck up about how bad everything is, right?  Instead of ‘depressing’ us with these announcements, how about these guys in turn throw out some zingers like, “Wow.  We can’t believe it either.  EVERYTHING is turning around.  Job are all over the place.  Wages are going up.  And houses….man, now is the time to go get your dream house.   And don’t get me started on cars”.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the numbers just began to soar.  We all like to feel good.  Perhaps we can hire Tony Robbins to shore this up.  …I think its worth a try.
