The contest is on hold right now while the surf is rising. If it is a go today, then the contest will run til completion. The 4th heat of Round 4 has Rob Machado going up against Dane Reynolds. That could be a very fun one to watch. Anyways, I may be heading up to Tahoe yet again, so may miss it, but there you go. Check it out if you have time.

Off for today. 7am start tomorrow. Shit, I am heading up to Tahoe, yet torn here because tomorrow is an excellent day to be a bum. The Hurley contest to watch, and then the endless college football games.
But…the trout are waiting. I guess I need to head out.

Oh…and Cal at #8 in the country. So ridiculous. I am already braced and ready for the plummet. Probably win tomorrow. May win a squeeker over Oregon. And then USC. And this is how that could go. Of course we will lose, but if by some chance we don’t, we will go marching off that field at like #2 in the country, and then lose the next 3 out of 4 games, to such loser-esque teams as Washington. Just watch. But SC will clean our clock. I don’t say it as a defeatest. I say it as a loyal bear fan for 35 years. We have our scars. Oh, we have our scars.
What are we all about? Who knows? Who cares? It’s too soon to say. We are a slow brewing stew and have just set the proper heat under the stove. We have yet to add bits of carrot and celery and whatever Brazilian bullshit my counterpart would add to a stew. It will take time. Care, whimsy, procrastination, will all be added. Wrong ingredients will surely be added as well, but it is all ok. It’s a process. We will figure it all out in time and hopefully serve up something nourishing and if all goes right, delicious. In the meantime, let’s agree not to worry about, About.
