Meter Maids = Cops with plastic badges

So this week I had the pleasure of getting my car tags stollen and the only reason i noticed it was because someone in the community allerted me of it. THANK YOU! Or else I would have never rectified this horrible thing.

That nice person left me a small note in a beautiful yellow envelope and carefully placed it on my windshield….what a joy. To come back to your car and realize that there are people out there looking out for you, protecting your rights and watching over your assets.

It wans’t really a high quality card, it set the kind soul $25 back. It urged me to get new tags or else I would have to bear the cost of the card.

So I go into the place where they told me to get my tags. A bunch of the same people were in there. Everyone is happy, smilling, working as hard as they can to satisfy you becasue they know that you have better things to do in your life. They only charged me $17 for a replacemennt and I thought that was a steal since It really wasn’t my fault that my tags had gotten pulled off.

Oh well, I left the place very happy and satisfied.

Back to the note. AHA! I had the sweet option of telling the kind soul that I had “found” a replacement tag and that I could mail that to them and for a $10 fee everything would be OK again….I was so happy that my life would come back to normal again. I am so happy that the meter maid showed up at my doorstep.

I wish more people were like them, just caring, loving, career-minded individuals…. if i did not hold the job that I have now I would definately look into working for the city and the fine plastic-badge-carriers department.

THANK YOU!

JH
