Open by Andre Agassi -Book Review

Great, great book.

Initially I thought…or was informed rather by the media…that this was a head scratcher of a book. An ex-pro athlete uncovering all the dirt on himself in some whiny tell all about his life. But of course, and fortunately, this autobiography had nothing to do with that. I frickin’ loved it. Period. Stupid fucking media.

Highly recommend.

Loved his interview on 60 minutes. Not sure why Martin Navartolova is bashing him. That is pretty weak. Is it true he wore a hair piece in his playing days?

Rome had him on JRIB and for like only the second time ever he thought the interview was so good he replayed it on the radio earlier this week. Pretty crazy stuff, when he talked about not even caring about the match but being more worried about whether his hair piece would come off because he could feel it was loose.

I’m worried about TW today, I didn’t know how he would be dealing with the news that Oprah is going off the air in 2011.

What are we all about? Who knows? Who cares? It’s too soon to say. We are a slow brewing stew and have just set the proper heat under the stove. We have yet to add bits of carrot and celery and whatever Brazilian bullshit my counterpart would add to a stew. It will take time. Care, whimsy, procrastination, will all be added. Wrong ingredients will surely be added as well, but it is all ok. It’s a process. We will figure it all out in time and hopefully serve up something nourishing and if all goes right, delicious. In the meantime, let’s agree not to worry about, About.
