Polanski bad....work good. As opposed to work good thus person must be good or revered. So for me...no, I wouldn't boycott because when I watch a movie I don't spend a second thinking about the director and what type a person he/she is. Not to mention movie are a collaborative deal. The actors (obviously), writers, directors, cinematographers, etc. etc. etc. Thus one person attached to a project wouldn't make me want to not see something. Especially if its good. But to be clear. And for this reason, coupled with all of this guy's 'hardship' some had felt that he had served his time. My response to that is that if financial settlements were an acceptable form of retribution in a situation like this then a) pedophilia is an open avenue for wealthy people. Basically, it makes little children expensive prostitutes. And for the court system and the public to accept that as a form of punishment, means that once again the victim suffers because she is being legally and socially treated like a hooker. (Dude....we did. We gave this guy a fucking Oscar.) One other thing that I forgot to add.
