The Bible (New Catagory: Sunday School)

This is no joke.  BN is going to pick up and read the bible for the first time.  I feel that if I document my intention here then it will provide a little extra motivation to keep on reading. 

The reason for this little adventure is as follows:

a) I have never read a word of the bible.

b) I am at a time in my life where I have seriously questioned the existence of a God or higher power.  Not because faith was required but because I really did start to feel, amazingly, that it was more ‘logical’ that there is intelligent design. 

c) The Bible is a good place to start -in reference to b)

and…

d) Curious to see how potentially ridiculous the bible actually is. 

So this bible is now beside my bed.  Well, under it.  I don’t feel all that comfortable masterbating with the Good Book looking on.  Not to mention, I can very easily see myself post-self-coital reaching over for the missing kleenex and using a page from Job (right?) to tidy up.  God or no God, I would certainly have a toasty afterlife for that. 

Anyways, I will keep you posted on my readings.  Hopefully this little adventure is not going to affect BN or his future writings.  But just in case….
