What i know they did not mention and what many have thought to believe not to be an advantage is height. Taller guys could not turn fast enough to generate that speed. I am trying to remember if there was ever a 6'5" 100m sprinter and I am pretty sure this guy might be the first. Add that to his youth and maybe blessed genetics and there you go.... I remember watching Michael Johnson in the 200m and that was the equivalent of Kobe scoring ALL points in a basketball game... if that were to happen again, it would be a miracle... next thing you know Bolt broke that record too.. not by much, but he did. on a serious note, i read somewhere years ago that it would take a generation for world records to fall in the 100m dash.
